Creative Clusters Competition 2022
Students from Drogheda Educate Together secondary school, Le Chèile, and Ashtown Village primary schools collaborated to design a logo to represent a shared project entitled "Drogheda Our Town" in association with Creative Clusters Ireland.
This project was completed in association with Navan Education Centre Creative Clusters Funding 2021-2023. Creative Clusters is a nationwide pilot programme initiated by the Department of Education to enable every child and young person to access and experience tuition in art, music, drama, and coding.
Entries were submitted by all three schools over the course of a number of weeks. The brief was to design a logo that would reflect the town of Drogheda and connect the three schools through the design and logo.
The winner was chosen by the project co-ordinator Siún O'Connor, from the Navan Education Centre.
Anna McArdle, a second-year student from Drogheda Educate Together was chosen as the winning entry. She designed a graphic poster connecting the town of Navan and Drogheda through a visual road passing through The Mary McAleese Boyne Valley Bridge.
